Say Hello To My New Little Friends

Hello Friends! Welcome to my very first blog post! Woohoo. I am so excited to finally take this next step in our small biz and share it with you all. For our very first post I want to take some time and tell you a little bit about ourselves, tell you what my goal is, and what you can expect from us in the future. So let’s get started!

We are Mallory & Jordan, a husband and wife team located in Phoenix, Arizona. Jordan is an AZ native, while I was born in Michigan. Most of my family is back in Michigan, so you will be seeing a lot of Michigan content in my posts, because I believe it’s one of the most underrated states with many hidden gems.We obviously love to travel, but when we have to actually work besides Pretty M.White, Jordan is a civil engineer and I work as a nurse. My career has taken some recent shifts that has allowed me to invest more time into our business. Pretty M.White has been growing! We are so so grateful, but we are having to do some big life changes to accommodate our growth!

Pretty M.White was started back in 2019 by making coasters as a hobby. I knew I always wanted a small business, I just didn’t know how or when. We had a logo and everything in place for over a year, but I was so afraid to fail that I never did anything. That is until one day we walked through a small boutique shop for the first time in Goodyear, Arizona for paint. We happened to meet the owner, and before you know it we were signing a contract and starting this new adventure of Pretty M.White! We are now in six retail stores making a variety of handmade goods in the Phoenix valley. We are beyond grateful for or first shop, Grungy Galz. The owner Bridget has invested in us and allowed us to believe in our vision and give us the tools and resources to grow and expand. If you haven’t visited their shop, you need to... All of the stores we are in are AMAZING and we are so thankful for each of them. Check them all out here.

Our vision for our business is to integrate our love of decor, parties, and travel. For some, it may seem like they do not go together, but I am here to tell you why they are seamless. First, we believe that travel is the foundation for inspiration. When you travel, the culture, food, architecture, and experiences you witness shape you. The saying getting bit by the travel bug is a saying for a reason. Traveling allows us to get out of our comfort zone and experience new things while creating core memories. One of the biggest take aways I have learned as a nurse is that every day is a gift. At the end of our time here on earth we are not going to look back and think of all the money we saved… but of all the great memories and experiences we had with those we love most. One of my favorite things about traveling is being able to take bits and pieces of new inspiration and apply it to my home and party decor collections. If you think about it, all decor whether party or home, is rooted from somewhere. That’s the beautiful thing about travel & decor…it’s inspiring to see what people create.

Alrighty, now for the big question of “What can you expect to see from us in the future?” For our future of blogging, I hope to share most of my content through photos… I don’t like to read long blog posts and I’m usually only there for the photos and quick insight. So that is what my goal is here. Within my blogs I plan to have a majority based upon travel and places worth going to, with an occasional party and decor post! Very specifically, I LOVE places to stay/hotels and plan to give you a full honest rating of each one. However, one thing you can not expect from me is breakfast places to go to. I am a horrible morning person, and half the time my husband brings me back breakfast which I will gladly share, but cute, aesthetically pleasing breakfast photos probably won’t be in my near future. However, you can bet your booty that I specialize in snacks, drinks, and DINNER.

Lastly, if you have any feedback or would like to inquire further about anything we would love to hear from you here. Thank you for joining us on our new portion of our business journey!

Mallory 💕
